Diamond wire cutting equipment is divided into two types: open-loop diamond wire and closed-loop diamond wire systems.
- Open-loop machines use diamond wires several hundred to thousands of meters long, wound on a spool, and perform cutting through back-and-forth wire movement.
- Closed-loop machines use a circular, endless diamond wire and achieve cutting through unidirectional wire movement.
